Prepares and cooks food items in accordance with company standards and menu. Line Cooks are expected to follow detailed instructions in cooking and consistently execute well-prepared food items. Successful line cooks can move efficiently in the kitchen and multi-task effectively.
Responsibilities
Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment (mis en place)
Prepare ingredients (chopping, peeling, cutting veggies/meat etc.)
Cook food w/ various tools and equipment
Ensure great presentation
Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized environment in the kitchen
Ensure food and items are stored safely and properly according to food handling and safety laws
Monitor stock and inventory
