Seed Laboratory Technician
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
Sample, test and analyze seed.

POSITION DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Reports to Seed Laboratory Leader
- Sample, test and analyze seed. Assure that extensive SDI protocols are followed monitoring all aspects of seed analyzing procedures, associated equipment, and accurate data entry.
- Makes certain lab is always maintained in an organized, clean and safe manner.
Duties and responsibilities
Include the following, other duties may be assigned. Collecting and processing seed samples preprocess and post process while maintaining sub sample identity and consistency in sample preparation.
- Conduct seed health testing following SDI protocols and established A.O.S.A. germination standards and regulations.
- Analyze results and ensure data entries are accurate.
- Monitor germination equipment to ensure that the tests are conducted accurately and consistently.
- Complete projects in a timely, efficient and safe manner.
- Maintain laboratories in a clean, safe and organized manner.
- Production scheduling while networking with Customer Service.

- Comfortable working in a laboratory setting with laboratory chemicals and reagents. Basic computer knowledge (Excel, Word, Outlook) is required.
- A good communicator and team player with a positive attitude, with the ability to work in a team setting.
- Ability to work with partners and delegate work evenly and fairly.
- Able to deal with frequent changes, delays, occasional workday schedule changes or unexpected events, including possible Saturday work shifts.
- Comfortable with fast-paced, challenging environment. Ability to communicate verbally and written in English.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent Wages commensurate with experience Medical Insurance

Pay: From $17.50 per hour
