Power Temp Systems, the fastest growing power distribution equipment manufacturer in the U.S., is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team, responsible for designing and developing innovative electrical projects specifically in the area of Power Distribution Connection Points.
As an integral member of our engineering department, you will be tasked with conceptualizing, designing, and implementing electrical systems, products, and solutions to meet the needs of our clients or internal projects, including our vast successful product line.
The successful candidate will possess a deep understanding of electrical engineering principles, a passion for problem-solving, and a drive to push the boundaries of technological advancements.
Responsibilities:
1. Electrical Design and Development: Create, review, and modify electrical designs for a diverse range of projects, ensuring they meet technical specifications, safety regulations, and industry standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into feasible electrical solutions.
2. Prototyping and Testing: Develop prototypes of electrical systems or products to validate designs and assess their functionality. Conduct thorough testing, analyze results, and identify areas for improvement.
3. Project Planning and Management: Participate in project planning, estimate timelines, and allocate resources effectively to ensure timely completion of tasks and successful project delivery.
4. Research and Innovation: Stay up-to-date with the latest technological advancements in electrical engineering and contribute to the research and development of cutting-edge solutions that enhance our company's capabilities.
5. Documentation: Supervise the Creation of detailed technical documentation, including schematics, diagrams, reports, and user manuals, to facilitate seamless project handovers and support ongoing maintenance.
6. Compliance and Safety: Ensure that all electrical projects adhere to relevant safety standards, codes, and regulations. Conduct risk assessments and implement necessary measures to mitigate potential hazards.
7. Collaboration: Collaborate closely with stakeholders to integrate electrical systems seamlessly into multidisciplinary projects.
8. Troubleshooting and Support: Provide technical support during project implementation and offer expertise in resolving electrical issues that may arise during testing, commissioning, or operation.
9. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and performance enhancement in electrical design and development methodologies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering.
- Proven experience in electrical power distribution design, development, and implementation of projects (10 years of experience).
- Proficiency in using industry-standard electrical design software and simulation tools (e.g., solidworks, solidworks 3D etc.).
- Strong knowledge of electrical components, circuits, power systems, and control systems.
- Familiarity with relevant electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations (UL, NEC, MSHA, OSHA, NEMA etc.) .
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively to overcome technical challenges.
- Solid project management skills, with a focus on meeting deadlines and delivering quality results.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate across departments and present technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Adaptable and open to learning new technologies and methodologies to stay at the forefront of electrical engineering advancements.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
