Job Summary
Plant Supervisors are responsible for following safety policies and overseeing the creation of products while keeping employees safe in a controlled setting.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Confirm that standard work, jobs, work rules, HR policies, safety rules and quality standards are being followed to include productivity benchmarks and communicate plan changes effectively.
- Plan actions, focus daily business needs and meet KPIs.
- Assign staffing, do pre-work observations, work with other department’s teams.
- Correct any issues with operations, communicate to all affected.
- Focus on strategic priorities including development and coaching of direct reports, staffing and performing systematic problem solving.
- Implement countermeasures and document changes to standard work.
- React to abnormalities and return to standard as soon as possible, communicate to relevant parties.

- Maintain safe work area and comply with safety procedures while performing the work.
- Conduct business at all times with the highest standards of personal, professional and ethical conduct.
- May participate in any variety of meetings and work groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems and maintain specified level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements, policies, and regulatory guidelines.
- Follow all policies and Standard Operating Procedures as instructed by Upper Management.
- Perform or assist with any range of special projects, tasks and other related duties as assigned to maintain workflow and meet schedules.
- Review payroll data as needed.

Supervisory Responsibility_*
Directly and/or indirectly supervise a team within the production department.

Education & Experience_*
High school diploma or equivalency required, and at least 2 years of related experience in Production/Manufacturing supervision; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge of: quality control programs, business, human resource principles and practices, safety programs, machines and tools.
Bilingual preferred (Spanish/English).

- Excellent supervisory skills including planning, organizing, decision making, motivating and leading with a high degree of interpersonal skills.
- Be proficient in Windows and Microsoft Office.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.

- Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines and work well under pressure.
- Requires attention to detail.
- Ability to work well in a team environment as well as independently.
- Must be able to work extended hours and weekends/holidays as needed to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work with business management programs, analyze spreadsheets and run reports.
