About the Role
The Business Development Specialist plays a critical role in our sales process; building rapport and earning trust with potential customers. We are seeking a career-minded, results-driven person to qualify leads, schedule appointments, and update the status in our CRM.
Your expertise in hunting for new business opportunities will be crucial as you work with the Business Development team to achieve revenue targets. If you have a passion for driving growth and a keen eye for detail, we would love to hear from you.
Duties include:
- Qualify incoming leads
- Identify and contact new leads within targeted companies and industries
- Schedule presentations with current & potential customers
- Build trust and rapport with prospective customers to foster long-term relationships
- Use Zoho CRM to prioritize leads and enter detailed notes about business opportunities
- Assist with creating detailed quotes and proposals for customers
- Support Marketing initiatives, including email campaigns, webinar support, PPC, and social media campaigns
Requirements:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; the ability to call, connect, and interact with potential customers from varied backgrounds and industries
- An energetic, outgoing, and friendly demeanor
- Be a coachable team member who is eager to learn, open to feedback, and committed to continuous improvement
- Excellent analytical and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and remotely
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel), and online collaboration tools (Zoom, Teams, WebEx, GoToMeeting)
Nice to have:
- Located near Seattle, WA
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field
- Experience with consultative-based sales
- Availability for travel to trade shows and conferences
- Prior sales experience with a proven track record of success
- Experience in SaaS sales
- Proficiency in CRM systems, ideally Zoho One
- Previous experience in B2B sales, within petrochemical, manufacturing, aerospace, and food and beverage is a plus
