SUMMARY
The Reel Builder is required to assemble reels as specified to meet production demands and/or as directed by the Materials Manager. The Reel Builder is responsible for maintaining inventory control and communicating reorder requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES including the following:
- Consolidating materials to build reels.
- Build reel to standard.
- Inspect and address associated issues for all reels to ensure operability.
- Informing production and management when materials are low.
- Providing daily and weekly data to ensure Incab systems are current.
- Stage all reels in by size and by order.
- Daily physical inventory of all materials required to build reels.
- Weekly physical inventory of all ready to use wood and rotating steel reels.
- Track and report damaged reels to production and management.
- Palletize materials using banding equipment for internal site-to-site transfer.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or GED, with 2 years’ experience in manufacturing or warehouse operations, preferably in reel building, inventory control, or forklift operation preferred.
- High attention to detail; demonstrates alertness to discrepancies outside of acceptable tolerances.
- Basic literacy with computers and electronic devices; including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and various other ERP or warehouse systems.
- Proven organizational and relationship-building skills.
ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

- Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 40 pounds unassisted for extended durations as needed; additionally, must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 60 pounds unassisted for short durations as needed.

- Able to work in a loud environment subject to machine and tool noise.
- Able to work with hand and power tools such as but not limited to table saws, drill press, nail gun, hammer, and pneumatic tools.
- Ability to work most of the time indoors in a hot, dusty, and noisy warehouse environment.
- Ability to work some of the time outdoors in any weather condition.
