Duties and Responsibilities:
· Operate restaurant to specifications, upholding high standards and impeccable service.
· Ensure service style and standards are met and guest expectations are exceeded.
· Checking in with staff to ensure that all staff is on time and in uniform, per our standards
· Identify guest needs and respond proactively to all of their concerns.
· Monitors guests and internal feedback and takes corrective action as required ensuring the highest level of guest satisfaction.
· Interview, train, supervise, mentor, develop, and evaluate staff.
· Use of HR systems in place to maintain employee records as required by California mandates.
· Compliance with annual management training required by state and local agencies as well as training required by Company policy including sexual harassment training and workplace safety training.
· Performing performance reviews for direct reports as assigned by GM: 90 day reviews & annual reviews
· Schedule staff appropriately based on business needs
· Hold staff accountable for their areas of responsibility and clearly articulate expectations.
· Assist in managing monthly food, beverage and labor in an effort to minimize expenses and overtime.
· Enforce sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness, and maintenance of kitchen and dining areas
· Ensure facility lighting, sound, and TVs are set per standard
· Actively Touching tables and leading by example
· Building relationships with guests, vendors, sister venues and other hospitality venues
· Ensure bartender and server cash-outs are accurate and per standard
· Ensure all staff closing side-work and cleaning duties are completed per standard
· Ensure facility closing checklist is complete
· Completing assigned projects in a timely manner
· Check in with kitchen and BOH operations throughout scheduled shifts.
· Attend all weekly meetings.
REQUIRED LICENSE/QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE:
· 1+ years of experience in a similar position. 1+ years in a restaurant and or late-night, lounge environment, managing premier tables, VIP's, door line and regulating capacity
· Comfortable working nontraditional hours
· Must be able to speak, hear, understand, read, and write the English language.
· Excellent knowledge of wine, spirits, and liquors and their proper service.
· Proficiency in POS program on a managerial level.
· California Food Handler’s Card.
· High school diploma.
· A general knowledge and understanding of San Diego current events, cultural and culinary happenings.
PREFERRED LICENSE/QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE
· Experience with inventory and ordering of wines, liquors and other beverage essentials.
· Understanding of Department of labor standards.

· Excellent communication skills (verbally interacts with management, staff and guests).

· Must be proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel/Word/Outlook).

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
· Ability to speak and hear, vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
· Constant walking, sitting, and standing.
· Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours).
· Be able to reach, bend, stoop
· Frequently lift up to 35 pounds.

Pay: $67,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
