Delta Construction Partners is a national executive search firm for the nation’s premier electrical contractors and industry professionals. Delta has been retained by a confidential client to conduct a search for the position of Electrical Operations Manager based in Houston, TX.
Electrical Branch Manager Compensation & Benefits
Total compensation for the Electrical Operations Manager based in Houston, TX is between $140,000 and $160,000.

Electrical Branch Manager Duties & Responsibilities
- Achieve the minimum budgeted net profit for branch with annual percent of at least 2 times the industry average.
- Manage billing & collections; bill customers at least bi-monthly. Manage billings for positive company cash flow.
- Track accounts receivable and manage working capital to no more than 2% of sales. Manage to zero 90-120 day receivables.
- Prospect for leads continually. Have at least 10 new prospects going at all times. Provide budgets, estimate proposals, and build relationship networks to achieve a minimum of 8-10% growth in sales per year.
- Be aware of surrounding market conditions and anticipate changes within market segments and geographical needs
- Provide overall leadership to branch while acting as a team player; lead by example; provide necessary and frequent communication to direct reports to ensure smooth and efficient operation of department.
- Create plan of action to address concerns resulting from employee engagement survey.
- Provide personnel development plans, monitoring, coaching, feedback, & growth opportunities to your direct reports. Ensure that you are developing at least one candidate to back up your position. Assess own development needs and plan with your supervisor for incorporation into your development plan.
- Interview & hire prospective employees. Manage employee job performance. Complete performance appraisals timely. Counsel, discipline, and terminate as necessary and in accordance with company policies.
- Facilitate decisions that are made on a weekly basis to determine what will be done and by whom. Analyze and forecast factors that affect results to maximum efficiency. Develop appropriate programs, strategies, and supervision.
- Complete 1 year & long range plans for the branch as part of short and long-term planning process; monitor and measure progress.
- Share manpower, resources, and tools with all branches as needed.
- Represent company/branch within local community and construction industry/trade organizations. Assume leadership roles to help establish company Inc. as a leader in the industry.
- Maintain design historical records and historical records for all functions for future use.
Electrical Branch Manager Qualifications
- At least 10 years of experience in the electrical construction industry is required.
- Construction Management degree of applicable other degree from a technical school or college (may be waived in the event of document, significant work background).
- Knowledgeable in healthcare (primarily), Industrial (secondarily), Commercial & Service
- Ability to be decisive and make the best decision for the company as a whole.
- Proven success managing risk & profitability successfully.
- Ability to manage time to meet deadlines.
- Proven ability and track record of performing work in a timely manner and meeting deadlines.
- Positive safety attitude and personal integrity – both are non-negotiable.
- Highly customer-service oriented & a team player.
- Detailed orientated with excellent time management skills.
- Continually searching out education experiences to grow within the company.

- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Preferred but Not Necessary
