McCurdy Real Estate & Auction is looking for a full-time individual with an active real estate license to lead our Pre-Auction Team and processes. This individual needs to be a proven leader, detail-oriented, and customer-focused. The team is responsible for all administrative aspects of preparing for an auction from the time the property is listed until it sells at auction. The Pre-Auction Manager also collaborates with other department managers including Marketing, IT, Closing, and Legal, to ensure the success of our auctions. Despite being a high-volume office, McCurdy prides itself on superior customer service and the personal relationships we develop throughout the community.
Responsibilities:
- Manage, coach, and develop a talented team of Pre-Auction Coordinators and Broker Support Staff.
- Escalate challenges and issues to the Auction Manager, Legal Department, or Managing Broker as needed.
- Supervise the auction process from prospective customer inquiry through auction day.
- Oversee and proof property content, listing documents, and details for McCurdy.com, MLS, and external marketing websites.
- Develop PowerPoint presentations containing auction terms, conditions, and property details for multi-property, multi-tract, and other live and online auctions.
- Manage the auction calendar and ensure appropriate support staff and resources are planned and coordinated for auction events.
- Facilitate Sales Team meetings.
- Manage and facilitate ordering real estate and auction signage, and track sign inventory.
- Act as a concierge for auction sellers by communicating with sellers, updating them on progress, and providing customer support.
- Facilitate in-person auction listing signings with customers.
- Learn and follow compliance requirements throughout the organization.
- Identify and implement opportunities to streamline processes, reduce risk, and improve customer service.
- Coordinate attendance registration for corporate events.
- Negotiate contracts with partners and vendors, as needed.
- Problem-solve as requested by the Executive Team.
- Monitor changes impacting real estate and the auction industry.
- Network regularly with real estate companies, attorneys, bankers, institutions, and corporate sellers, advocating for the McCurdy brand and processes.

Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma is required. Bachelor’s degree in business is preferred.
- 5+ years of full-time experience in real estate, banking/lending, or at a title company.
- Kansas Real Estate Salesperson’s license, or willingness to obtain a license.
- 3+ years of experience leading a team and managing people, systems, or processes.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft 365 suite of software products and ability to learn industry and company-specific software tools.
- Must be a natural collaborator and detail-oriented self-starter who can juggle priorities and manage resources to prioritize tasks, move transactions forward, and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrate a high degree of integrity, responsibility, and confidentiality.
- Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Able to occasionally work evenings or weekends, as needed, to provide support for time-sensitive transactions, after-hours auctions, or urgent issues.
- Must be able to work in-office with long periods of sitting, occasional lifting up to 40 pounds, and the ability to drive around town to auction properties as needed. (Mileage reimbursement provided.)
