Our client, a 40 year old privately held manufacturing company, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Manager to oversee their operations. Reporting to the President, the Sales Manager will be a highly motivated sales "Hunter". This pivotal role is responsible for spearheading the sales and marketing efforts to maintain and increase activity with current customers and identify and cultivate new customers and markets.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with Senior Management to develop forecasts, sales policies, and promotional strategies.
- Develop and implement action plans for assigned markets, including defining strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.
- Manage the quoting processes and recommend product enhancements and potential new products to Engineering and Management.
- Continuously monitor product lines and markets, reporting significant changes to the Senior Management.
- Develop marketing strategies to maximize profit margins and create new opportunities.
- Represent company at industry events and develop relationships with customers and potential clients.
- Provide indirect management to outside sales, customer service reps, distributors, and independent sales agents.
Education, Certifications, and /or Experience
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university.
- Four years of related sales leadership experience
- Have a clear understanding of the manufacturing/steel industry.
- Four or more years in business-to-business sales or purchasing.
- Industry-specific certifications and licenses are advantageous.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $72,000.00 - $82,000.00 per year
