Completion of board-accredited training program/s in General Obstetrics and Gynecology. Board certified or board eligible in General OB/GYN and Maternal-Fetal Medicine.

Overview
Research Responsibilities (0.50 FTE)
1. The physician-scientist is expected to demonstrate the potential to obtain extramural research funding.
2. The candidate is expected. To demonstrate a strong record of scholarly achievement and to build an impressive publication track record.
3. The physician-scientist will be expected to develop an independent and sustainable research portfolio in their area of expertise.
4. The candidate should have excellent writing and presentation skills.
5. The candidate should possess excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills.
6. As part of the faculty appointment, the candidate will be expected to complete a master’s degree in epidemiology, or biostatistics (public health).
Clinical responsibilities (0.50 FTE)
1. The physician-scientist shall provide Clinical Services at Clara Maas Medical Center (CMMC) in the form of diagnostic ultrasound services for high-risk pregnancies, one (1) day per week, eight (8) hours per day, and one (1) day per week for remote ultrasound reading.
2. The physician-scientist shall provide twenty-four (24) hours per day/three hundred sixty-five (365) days per year, on-call telephone consultation to cover emergent conditions for CMMC’s Maternal Fetal Medicine program and related care of CMMC patients.
3. Timely contracting with public and private payors, and timely credentialing with payors.
4. Devoting such time, attention, and energy necessary for the physician-scientist to furnish services in a manner consistent with accepted community standards of care and competence.
5. Doing all things reasonable to maintain and improve the physician’s competency and professional skills including maintenance of board certification and state licensure.
6. These expectations are not all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned by the Chief, Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine, or the Department Chair.
