Summary: Troubleshoots, calibrates, sets up, debugs & repairs ATE and ATE related equipment as needed.

- Ensures equipment are in production condition with minimum downtime and running at yield specified.

Daily house keeping
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):

Knowledge of equipment safety requirements that user must follow while using equipment
-
Works with Test Operators, Test Operator Lead, and different departments (PC/ Engineering/ Tester/ Vendor/ Planner) to: improve the UPH; improve the yield%; minimize downtime; lessen the rescreen/ resort frequency; optimize the system utilization; meet daily shipment requirements; and ensure total product quality and productivity

Optimizes equipment utilization by conducting series of experimentations to improve throughputs, yields and quality.

Resolves the day to day technical, operations, and quality issues to meet production requirements and targets

Troubleshoots, calibrates, sets up, repairs, modifies, cleans and maintains assigned Testers, Handlers/ Probers, and test related equipment

Ensures equipment are in production working condition with minimum downtime and running at specified yields

Ensures that machine alarms (due to jamming, loading assist, unloading assist, end lot, temperature unstable error, etc.) are attended to in the shortest possible time

Ensures that setup duration is within the operation setup specs, and reports to Maintenance (Shift) Supervisor of issues or problems

Records and informs Maintenance (Shift) Supervisor of any issues with machines that cannot be resolved

Reviews and follows production schedule and priorities, or as directed by Maintenance (Shift) Supervisor, or Maintenance Manager

Obtains specified test hardware from Hardware Control Room such as: probe card, load board, change kit etc.

Follows travelers and test specifications from customers’ and production control coordinators’ instructions.

Operates test equipment: handlers, wafer sort probers, testers, scanner equipment, hand/bench test equipment, etc.

Ensures all outstanding issues are resolved and properly communicated

Maintains up to date preventative maintenance calibration intervals and submit to Quality Assurance Department

Enters setup information once setup is done in the TFS system

Reads processing documents to determine test specifications
-
Tracks, monitors and reports daily equipment downtime

Documents records in accordance with ISE company policy, ISO and OSHA guidelines

Maintains a clean and orderly work environment
-
Sets up all test equipment: handlers, wafer sort probers, testers, scanner equipment, and/or hand/bench test equipment according to customer specifications.
Education and/or Experience:
-
AA or technical degree; or 3-5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Abilities and Skills:
-
Specialized knowledge on ATE, testers, handlers, probers etc.

Trouble shooting skills on equipment maintenance and repair
-
Requires knowledge of: modern business English (read, analyze, and interpret general business and professional documents, technical procedures, and governmental regulations), spelling and arithmetic; the operations of common office machines and equipment.

Requires considerable ability to: use good judgment in making routine decisions in accordance with existing laws, ordinances, regulations and departmental policies and procedures; establish and maintain satisfactory working relationships with departmental personnel and customers.
Computer Skills:

Will be trained in ISE database system

Some knowledge of MS Office Suite
