Responsibilities:
- Greet and seat guests in a timely and friendly manner
- Take food and drink orders accurately and efficiently
- Provide excellent customer service and address any guest concerns or inquiries
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food orders
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas
- Process payments and handle cash transactions
- Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the health and safety of guests
- Utilize OpenTable or similar reservation systems to manage guest reservations
- Assist with setting up and breaking down tables for service
Skills:
- Strong hospitality skills with a friendly and welcoming demeanor
- Proficient in basic math for handling payments and making change
- Familiarity with OpenTable or other reservation management systems is a plus
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle difficult situations diplomatically
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices within the food industry
- Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively with kitchen staff and other servers
- Basic knowledge of kitchen operations to accurately answer guest questions about menu items
