Supplier Quality Engineer & Lab Supervisor

Responsibilities:
- Supervision and support of Prairie Ave. Quality Testing Lab Team (4) and the SQE in Jeffersonville
- Develop/improve/maintain the incoming inspection processes for raw materials and purchased finished goods.
- Identify gaps in raw material or purchased FG specifications and assist in the development of new quality standards when necessary. Work cross-functionally with R&D, Process Engineering, Procurement, and vendors to improve specifications and incoming quality.
- Identify and implement inspection techniques for inspection lab employees to properly interpret quality standards, and support/write quality procedures. Ensure test and procedures are properly understood, carried out in a timely manner and the results evaluated, statistically analyzed and reported.
- Issue SCARs to vendors for incoming inspection failures, follow-up to ensure vendors identify root cause and implement permanent and irreversible corrective actions.
- Track and report SCAR status and monthly vendor scorecards.
- Implement statistical tools/techniques to evaluate vendor performance and identify trends that could impact end user satisfaction.
- Ensure lab equipment is functioning properly and in current calibration status.
- Execute vendor quality system audits
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree (four-year college or technical school): Required
- 2 plus years of Supplier Quality experience, Supplier Quality Management experience a plus
- Experience/knowledge of Quality systems such as ISO, Six Sigma, TQ, PDSA, CI, 5S
- Experience with polymers and color evaluation
- Demonstrated ability to use and understand common statistical analysis tools
- 2 years of supervisory experience
- Computer Skills: Minitab, MS Office, Quality Window V (or other database skills)

Pay: $100,000.00 - $122,000.00 per year
