Position Title: Housekeeper
Department: Management & General (M&G)
Reports to: Facilities Director
Position Objective and Summary:
UCAN is looking for energetic, hard-working, and reliable HOUESKEEPING to join our team. Housekeeper assists with cleaning, stocking, and maintaining designated facility areas for appearance and sanitation. Successful Talent work hard with limited supervision, are comfortable with minor physical activity for extended periods, and ensure proper upkeep of the location's appearance. At UCAN, our Housekeeper is responsible for performing housekeeping in order to create a safe, secure, and inviting environment for our residential clients, families and staff members while meeting and exceeding UCAN quality service standards.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

Responsible for performing general housekeeping duties in residential and Nichol’s building, public areas and support areas as assigned while meeting or exceeding UCAN’S quality standards.

Partners with community team to ensure community is in compliance with OSHA requirements and promotion of Risk Management programs and policies; adherence to safety rules and regulations

Practices safety procedures at all times including Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), fire extinguishers, MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets)

Team members may be exposed to blood and or body fluids with potential exposure to hazardous materials and infectious diseases

Actively participates as a member of a team and committed to working toward team goals

Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors of various types.

Dusting ceilings, light fittings, countertops, loose furniture and all area that needs dusting.

Scrubbing and sanitizing sinks, kitchen fixtures, countertops, and toilets.

Emptying trash cans.

Washing windows as needed windows.

Liaising with the manager to ensure that you always have sufficient cleaning products.

Reporting any breakages that occur during the cleaning process.

Informing the manager of repairs required.
Education/Job Experience/Certification:
-
High School diploma / GED preferred

Able to provide housekeeping office and resident centered environment

Ability to handle multiple priorities

Possess written and verbal skills for effective communication

Demonstrates good judgment, problem solving and decision-making skills

Ability to work semi-independently without direct supervision by following all community procedures and guidelines and having the ability to follow through on assigned tasks, and demonstrates initiative

Ability to perform tasks with frequent interruptions

As applicable, all UCAN staff members who drive a UCAN vehicle must review and sign the Driver job description and understand the key essential duties for safety and regulatory compliance

Must be 18 years or older

Evening shift 3pm-11pm
