Production Supervisor Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Production Supervisor to oversee our night shift manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will ensure the efficient production of goods while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
Production Supervisor Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate production team activities
- Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards
- Train, mentor, and motivate staff to achieve production goals
- Develop and implement production schedules and procedures
- Oversee inventory management and order supplies as needed
- Conduct regular inspections to identify and resolve issues promptly
- Collaborate with other departments to optimize production processes
- Delegate production assignments to appropriate teams and personnel
- Maximize plant productivity and quality. Minimize plant downtime.
- Document production results including downtime, input pounds, output pounds, waste, etc.
- Develop and implement ways to improve safety, increase productivity, improve product quality, reduce operating costs and minimize waste.
- Perform employee evaluations and recommend disciplinary actions to human resources and production manager.
- Responsible for reporting and documenting all necessary maintenance repair items, required process improvements, quality control concerns, and production supply level, i.e., boxes, skids, liners, chemicals, etc., to the production manager.
- Inspect all materials and equipment to detect malfunctions
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures
- Other duties as required by company and/or management
Production Supervisor Qualification and Skills:
- Posses a high diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in production, manufacturing, or other related fields
- Knowledge of production tools and equipment
- Strong leadership qualities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be a good problem solver, a good listener, analytical and hands on
- 5+ years of direct supervisory experience in manufacturing environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Bilingual, English and Spanish (verbal and written) required
- Proficiency in operating forklifts and other industrial equipment
- Strong mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting machinery

Pay: $68,949.00 - $71,959.00 per year
