As a Medical Assistant/ Receptionist you will be responsible for providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the medical office. You will support providers and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication. The target is to complete all activities accurately, with high quality and in a timely manner. Excellent customer service and a positive attitude is a MUST!
Responsibilities
- Take incoming phone calls from patients, facilities etc.
- Interview patients and document accordingly in the EMR system
- Schedule, reschedule and cancel appointments as necessary
- Request and upload medical records
- Assure appropriate documents are in the chart (lab results, consultation reports, diagnostic testing..etc) at the time of patient follow up
- Prepare charts prior to patient arrival
- Assist provider during medical examinations
- Produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms
- Collect patient payments
- Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments
Skills
- Proven working experience as a medical assistant or medical secretary
- Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
- Social perceptiveness and service oriented
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software
- Accurate measurement of vital signs
- Degree in medical assistance

Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
