Campus Life Services’ Family Services’ mission is to increase productivity, recruitment, and retention by supporting the wellbeing of UCSF faculty, staff, students, and trainees through child care, parent education, lactation accommodations, and other support services for families.
Under the direction of the Family Services Specialist, this position oversees a comprehensive lactation program at UCSF, managing over 90 lactation rooms across 13 locations. Responsibilities include coordinating facilities services, managing repair and maintenance tasks, granting lactation room access, and tracking equipment and supplies. Additionally, the role involves inventory management of equipment, lactation rooms, and program registrants. The position also assists with program outreach and communications, including handling the lactation program email, responding to requests from users, problem-solving, and following up with registrants. Other duties include opening new lactation rooms, placing equipment orders, and supporting workshops and support groups. The incumbent also assists with UCSF-vendor relationships, such as Ameda and Milk Stork. They collect and analyze program inventory data, work independently to enhance the program, and ensure compliance with lactation accommodation laws and policies to support UCSF faculty, staff, students, and trainees.
The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.
Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.
The salary range for this position is $29.03 - $41.55 (Hourly Rate).
