QUALITY ASSURANCE MANAGER

POSITION SUMMARY
In overview, the Quality Assurance Manager is responsible, in collaboration with the Director of Clinical and Urgent Care Services & Chief Operations Officer for oversight of regulatory matters and facilitation of the regulatory process - readiness, onsite review, correction action planning, monitoring, and performance improvement.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Ensure quality and safe delivery of client care services.
- Evaluate adequacy of quality assurance standards.
- Collect, compile, and analyze statistical quality data to identify areas for improvement.
- Develop, implement, and monitor corrective quality improvement plan and preventive actions.
- Oversee regulatory, accreditation and compliance activities for the Center.
- Monitor risk management activities.
- Oversee incident and adverse event reports and client complaints.
- Ensure that information regarding Federal and State rules and regulations and quality improvement activities is communicated, enforced, and monitored.
- Conducts clinical record compliance reviews ensuring service and billing codes are appropriately matched.
- Conducts compliance reviews specific to regulatory, payor and accreditation requirements, (e.g., DPH, MassHealth, DMH).
- Participates in policy and procedure development.
- Responsible for the coordination and performance of clinical record review, including aggregating the data, identifying issues, and coming up with a corrective plan of action.
- Work collaboratively with the clinical managers to develop the clinical staff education programs.
- Identifies opportunities and improves systems and procedures.
- Document internal audits and other quality assurance activities.
- Investigate non-conformance issues.
- Prepare reports to communicate outcomes of quality activities.
- Identify training needs and organize training interventions to meet quality standards
- Coordinate and support on-site audits conducted by external providers
- Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's level degree or above.
- Five years of QA experience with Mental Health or Healthcare organization.
QUALIFICATIONS:

- The ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Enjoys and works effectively in culture of collaboration, ongoing change, commitment to racial equity, diversity and inclusion.
- Demonstrated sound clinical judgment.
- Digital fluency including experience with electronic medical records and MS Office
- Provides information to the Senior Leadership Team as needed for Board of Director meetings or other professional meetings.
- The ability to work effectively with clinicians and Center staff.
