DEFINITION
This is an entry level clerical position responsible for performing routine clerical work of moderate complexity and variety as the greeter and information point of contact for the City Government Center. The position requires knowledge of social media and the ability to maintain databases, update websites and organize online information. Experience in organizing and maintaining 311 systems is essential. Assignments are stable in nature and performed in accordance with instructions and established policies and procedures. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Communications Manager; however, the individual in this position is expected to exercise independent and sound judgment as circumstances warrant.
EQUIPMENT/JOB LOCATION
Work is performed primarily in the Atrium of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. City Government Center. Equipment used: computer, camera, telephone, copier, calculator and fax machine. Duties are typically performed on weekdays from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.; however, employees may be required to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
