Must be located in Stamford, CT, New York City, NY or would be open to considering candidates in Charlotte, NC.
Will be required to travel approximately 4 times per year as needed to the main offices and to events.
Salary Range: $85K-$105K
Reporting to our client VP Leadership Programs and Head of Early Career, this role will manage and deliver best in class Veterans Leadership Program (VLP) strategy, execution, and events. The Veterans Leadership Program is a 13 month program consisting of a 1 month onboarding program and two six month rotations. This role will be responsible for engaging both our on program participants as well as partnering with senior stakeholders, HR leadership, and external partners to manage and develop our clients Veterans Leadership Program. The role will also partner closely and advise on recruiting strategy and event management for our early career programs.
Strategic Support and Client Advisory
- Create and maintain trusted partner relationships with hiring managers. Act as a strategic partner and advisor regarding the sourcing and recruitment process
- Develop end-to-end recruitment campaign strategies to meet longer term client requirements
- Develop and support the sourcing strategy in collaboration with the Sourcer for each role/business unit, including web-based and direct sourcing. Agree the strategy with the hiring manager
- Develop and manage the talent pipeline or talent pooling strategy for business unit/local country/market
Leadership Programs and Events
- Host, program, and execute “VLP boot camp” (30 day onboarding program)
- Work directly with business sponsors and key stakeholders to develop and deliver best-in-class VLP programming and development experiences
- Design and implement initiatives to develop and retain transitioning military talent
- Serve as day-to-day point of contact to engage and connect with program participants
- Connect, coach and engage Assignment Leaders on a regular basis. Note: Assignment leaders are the managers of program participants during their rotations
- Build and support cross functional experiences to help enrich VLP journey
- Support VLP rotation and post-program placement
- Help build and support rotation performance appraisal process
- Manage VLP talent planning review process including ratings calibrations, review conversations, and off program placement
- Maintain and run data analytics to measure attrition, retention, diversity initiatives, best practices, and performance management
- Create meaningly alumni engagement and programming for all VLP alumni
- Assist in managing leadership program calendar, ensuring functional leadership awareness and execution
- Support and/or manage special projects related to leadership programs
- Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned
Recruiting
- Build, maintain and grow relationships with military pipelines
- Support VLP vendor relationships
- Assist with budget management, monitor and control costs related to recruiting
- Measure and report on campus success via KPIs
- Manage special projects related to recruiting process improvement, training and/or special initiatives
- 3+ years program management and/or Veterans Programming/Recruiting experience
- Demonstrated ability to work successfully with internal and external constituents
- Proven ability to be proactive in engaging and managing stakeholders both virtually and face to face
- Demonstrable ability to position and solve issues for senior clients (e.g. HR Leaders, Heads of Business).
- Able to manage their expectations, influence them to take a course of action, change their assumptions or make compromises between quality and speed of hires
- Experience of working to and meeting demanding targets and deadlines
- Strong communication (written and verbal), Change Management, Influencing, interpersonal and collaboration
