General Duties
Under the general supervision of the Director of Nursing Affairs or Assistant Directors and the clinical supervision of the Provider, the Medical Assistant is responsible for assisting with all basic examination of patients. This individual will arrange for any subsequent laboratory testing of the patient, order supplies for the treatment areas, and perform other duties as requested. Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the lifespan (or receive cross-training) to provide age-specific care to all patient age groups, i.e. infant, child, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.
Education

High school diploma or GED.

Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program.
Minimum Qualifications

Must have the flexibility to allow for work schedule at all NEON Health Center locations.

One to two years of experience preferred, but not required.

Medical Assistants are encourage to complete and maintain certification with a national credentialing provider.
Technical Skills

Demonstrated knowledge proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office and Outlook.

Ability to learn the use of the Electronic Health Record (EHR) and Electronic Practice Management (EPM) systems.
Monday - Friday 8:30 to 5:30 per building operation hours.
Monday - Friday 12 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. per building operation hours
Saturday/ Sunday- Weekend Hours Available
