The LeFrak Center at Lakeside is Brooklyn’s activity destination featuring year-round activities including ice skating, roller skating, bumper cars, dining, water play, biking, boating, family-friendly classes and special events.
This first-class family entertainment facility is comprised of 35,000 square feet of interior space and offices, two ice skating rinks which convert to a splash pad area and roller skating arena, biking and boating activities. With indoor and outdoor dining areas, café, bar and catering facilities, and designated event spaces and multipurpose rooms we are equipped to host a wide range of events including sports tournaments, clinics, special events, banquets, meetings, weddings, concerts, community events and other family friendly activities.
About the Position:
The LeFrak Center at Lakeside is now accepting resumes for Facility Maintenance Team Members. The Facility Maintenance Team Member will play a pivotal role in the overall care, maintenance, and repair of the facility. This position will involve monitoring and making necessary adjustments to facility systems under the direction of the executive management team.
Candidates should possess knowledge in plumbing, carpentry, and electrical work.
Responsibilities:
- Promptly address maintenance issues and repair requests.
- Provide assistance to external contractors during building repairs.
- Ensure the building is maintained with the highest standards.
- Communicate all issues to the appropriate channels.
- Assist with setup and organization of equipment, furniture and other company assets.
- Assist with event setup.
Job Requirements:
- Facility/building management experience preferred.
- Facilities/operations experience with working knowledge of building systems.
- Proficiency in plumbing, electrical, and basic construction.
- Highly motivated and service-oriented with the ability to work independently.
- Ability to communicate clearly with management team.
- Ability to lift at least 40 pounds.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple and complex operational matters on a regular basis.
- Must be able to work independently with limited supervision, manage multiple tasks and meet critical deadlines on a routine basis.
