Responsibilities:
The RN or LPN Unit Manager will oversees all aspects of operating a short term care unit within the Centre, mentoring, supervising and evaluating staff to ensure that standards of care, practice and customer service are consistently met with positive resident outcomes. Assumes responsibility and accountability for resident care on the unit(s).
Qualifications:
- Licensed Nurse with a minimum 5 years of clinical experience. RN preferred but will consider LPN candidates with appropriate clinical and management experiential background.
- The successful candidate must have extensive clinical experience in post-acute/long term care, prior administrative experience and training in both nursing and management.
- Needs strong communication skills, diplomacy and the ability to assume leadership in any situation.
- Is active participant in the quality assurance/performance improvement processes as well as participating in other clinical risk management committees.
- Works collaboratively with other members of the interdisciplinary team to promote person-centered, holistic care.
