Steffes Construction is seeking a full-time skilled Lead Carpenter / Carpenter & Laborer to join our team. We are looking for someone with experience as a carpenter assisting in the completion of all phases of new construction.
Applicants must have knowledge of the construction industry standards and the ability to perform carpentry techniques with minimal supervision

We are seeking an experienced residential carpenter for jobs in the greater Seattle-Bellevue area. You will be expected to work hands-on at each site daily alongside owner or additional crew under direction of the Project Manager. You will also be responsible for the successful, timely, and completion of assigned remodeling construction projects based on the final drawings, specifications, budget & schedule. It is possible and expected to be able to work on more than 1 job site at a time to help.
Position Requirements
- Ability to read & understand site plans or documents to perform all necessary work.
- Thoroughly understand & regularly review all aspects of the project's scope, details, and job site condition as they change.
- Be aware & assist in managing the necessary tools & materials needed for a job site's success. Loading & Unloading construction materials.
- Knowledgeable or experienced in all phases of residential remodeling and construction procedures The following work commonly happens on our sites by subs or by the Project Manager/Owner/Team (Demo, Framing, Siding, Trim/Millwork, Window/Door Install, Painting, Tile Work, Cabinets, etc)
- Extensive rough carpentry experience, including layout knowledge of foundations, rafters, and stairs.
- Extensive finish carpentry experience, including trim, cabinetry installation, and interior finishes.
- Good working knowledge of all related building trades.
- Assist with set-up & maintenance of site logistics (protections as needed, fans, door jam covers, plastic, etc.) & general housekeeping within & around the project site.
- Perform any other assigned duties as required for your job site or help other job sites as needed.
- Represent Steffes Construction Inc. as the on-site client liaison and advocate, resolving issues as they arise and communicating regularly with the Project Manager
- Motivated self-starter, detail-oriented, highly organized, with a positive, can-do attitude.
- Overall responsibility for the day-to-day management of assigned remodeling and construction projects.
- Collaborate & Communicate regularly with the Project Manager to ensure a thorough understanding of the scope of the project as it evolves.
Requirements
- Required to stand, kneel, bend, crouch & be able to lift min. of 60lb or more reguarly. Reach with hands & arms above head.
- Must provide own set of general tools (ie power tools, hand tools, tape measure, speed square, utility knife, etc.)** We Provide Maintenance or Personal Tools**
- Valid Drivers License
- Must have a clean, reliable Truck or Van
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to resolve complex problems
- Ability to work independently as well as be a team player
- Strong time management and organizational skills

Pay: From $75,000.00 per year
