Shift Hours:
Monday - Friday: 5:00 PM - 10:30 PM
The Security Officer will be responsible for ensuring our premises, assets, and personnel are secure by maintaining an on-site high visible presence to patrol and monitor our organization. This position is an unarmed position working on-site.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Consistently meet all Shell FCU Service Commitments; Shell FCU Employee Creed and Shell FCU Service Distinctions.

Accountable to maintain knowledge of and comply with all applicable rules and regulations required within the scope of duties, including, but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act.

Required to attend annual training sessions as instructed or scheduled.

Effectively communicate and de-escalate potential conflicts in accordance with training.

Perform access control procedures on vehicles, personnel, and visitors.

Inform personnel and visitors of security procedures, as well as acting upon non-compliance.

Monitor alarm systems and video surveillance systems.

Investigate suspicious activities and disturbances appropriately without engaging in harassing or discriminatory treatment.

Report security breaches to designated law enforcement in immediate matter.

Perform maintenance checks on security systems and equipment.

Document observations and surveillance activities.

Adhere to security industry regulations.

Performs additional duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Skills
Experience:
Minimum two years of experience in a similar role.
Education / Training:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
State-prescribed training, licensing, and registration.

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to bend, stretch, walk and stand for long periods of time. Must be able to lift, carry and/or move 50 pounds. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in emergency situation. Position may require a Fitness for Duty Exam.
Working Conditions
Exposed to all weather conditions, as well as to the many hazards associated with heavy traffic. Must sometimes carry heavy loads, either manually or with the aid of a dolly. May also have to deal with difficult parking situations, traffic, and road construction.
Exposure to potential hazardous conditions, including but not limited to robbery or other violent or threatening conduct. Employees are to receive detailed instructions and procedures to be followed to minimize risk.
