Role
The Controller will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the company's financial record-keeping and reporting. This role combines traditional bookkeeping tasks with higher-level controller responsibilities, ensuring the smooth operation of our financial processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently or in a team environment.
Key Accountabilities
Bookkeeping:
· Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process.
· Maintain and balance subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, and reconciling transactions.
· Perform bank reconciliations and ensure all accounts are accurate and up-to-date.
· Process accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing and collections.
· Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Controller Duties:
· Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
· Manage the month-end and year-end close processes.
· Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
· Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to enhance internal controls.
· Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management to support strategic decision-making.
· Coordinate audits and liaise with external auditors.
· Monitor cash flow, financial performance, and variances to the budget.
· Assist in financial planning, including long-term and short-term forecasting.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, Controller, or similar role.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency with QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a hybrid work environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Compensation
The Controller is a full-time salary position, and is eligible for benefits including health insurance, access to 401k, paid time off and annual bonus based on performance. Compensation will depend on experience.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
