The Advancement Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the Advancement operations, including fundraising, communications, and constituent relations, at Wellspring. The Advancement Coordinator is responsible for providing donor/constituent database management and administrative support for the Advancement office, including, but not limited to donor gift processing and acknowledgments, daily data entry, the creation of fundraising reports, and logistical coordination of various Advancement related events and activities. The Advancement Assistant reports to the Vice President of Advancement.
Position Responsibilities:
- Assist with administrative details associated with Advancement, Communications, and Marketing, including scheduling meetings and preparing and distributing notices, agendas, and minutes
- Updating and maintaining our database, Raiser’s Edge, daily
- Assist with identifying and executing grant opportunities for Wellspring
- Process donations and prepare acknowledgment letters, pledge reminders, and other donor correspondence promptly
- Create mailing lists, email lists, and other reports and queries from the database in a timely manner
- Work with Wellspring's Advancement team to plan and execute signature events including the annual gala and golf tournament as well as various community efforts of all sizes
- Work with Communications Director to promote all events and news to appropriate audiences
- Assist with other Advancement projects and programs, including occasional evening programs and events
Position Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required
- Strong knowledge of Raiser’s Edge, our constituent database, and the ability to use it effectively and efficiently
- Strong written and verbal skills; understanding of grant writing process
- Self-starter with an optimistic outlook
- Experience planning, implementing and evaluating events
- Willingness to be a flexible and creative team member in a fast paced, changing environment
- Excellent client and donor relations to reflect the mission and vision of Wellspring
- Familiarity with not-for-profit operations
