Discover After School, founded in 2019, is on a mission to empower children through after-school STEAM exploration. Starting from just after school clubs to before and after-school programs, we blend fun with science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics (STEAM) to spark creativity and innovation. Position Summary:
As a Front Desk Representative, you will be the first point of contact for our families. You will greet families as they arrive, answer phone calls, and collect payment information. The ideal candidate has a cheerful disposition, excellent communication, and computer skills, and is capable of multitasking. As the front-line-employee, your role will be extremely important for improving customer experience and satisfaction.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Greet customers as they arrive and provide an excellent customer experience.
- Answer and redirect phone calls.
- Monitor student sign in/out process.
- Assist parents with paperwork, including consent forms and accident reports.
- Maintain a clean and inviting environment.
- Answer questions, address minor complaints and give accurate information.
Qualifications:
- Must speak Portuguese and English
- Two or more years of experience as a receptionist or similar role is preferred.
- Commitment to customer service.
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age and have a High School Diploma.
Skills:
- Excellent multi-tasking skills.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Knowledge of the ProCare System is a plus.
- Familiarity with computers.
- Bilingual is a plus.
- Patience with students and parents.

Schedule:
- August 2024 - May 2025
- Monday - Friday
- Morning Care - 6:45AM - 9:00AM
- After Care - 2:00PM - 6:00PM
Education:
- High school or equivalent
Experience:
- Experience with Children: 1 year (Preferred)
- Two or more years of experience as a receptionist or similar role is preferred.
License/Certification:
- First Aid Certification (Preferred)
- CPR Certification (Preferred)
