As part of the leadership team, the Director of Sales ensures that the mission of the team is carried forward by every agent and staff member of the Market Center’s original production business. The Director of Sales replaces the owner as the day-to-day operator of that original production business [including being in active production. (where appropriate)]
The Director of Sales is highly sociable, draws energy from working with people, and is optimistic and outgoing. He/She is an excellent leader within the organization and is able to build rapport and trust quickly with all agents and staff members. He/She unites all team members in their commitment to the team’s standards and to achieving the team’s goals. This individual has a strong sense of urgency, but not at the expense of quality.
The Director of Sales leads the original production business by hiring, training, coaching, and holding accountable all agents at the hub. Through his/her leadership, this business continually sets the example for the rest of the Expansion locations in quality service, lead generation, and commitment to the company mission.
In addition, when in production, he/she demonstrates on a daily basis the knowledge, attitudes, skills, and habits of a high-achieving agent who is committed to putting clients first, to doing the right thing, and to seeking win-win agreements. Depending on the primary function of the role, the Director of Sales may prospect for leads daily, set appointments with those leads, close for agreements, and then conduct a high-level fiduciary needs analysis. He/She role models what he/she expects to see in other people.
The Director of Sales also demonstrates a commitment to learning and strives for growth by regularly attending courses, teaching courses when appropriate, and leading scripts and dialogue practices. He/She is committed to investing in the people on the team and regularly provides them with learning and growth opportunities as well.
What will you do?

- Lead the mission and vision of the original production business
- Hire, train, coach, and hold accountable all agents at the hub
- Coordinate with the Expansion Director to ensure all businesses operate the same way
- Prospect for leads, convert leads to appointments, close for agreements, and conduct high-level fiduciary needs analyses
- Consult with clients to ensure fiduciary service of the real estate transaction from initial contact through contract to close
- Oversee negotiations, for all contracts
- Develop expert knowledge regarding mortgage financing, neighborhoods, schools, and all homeownership issues
Essential duties and responsibilities
- Oversee all agents of the local sales team, providing accountability, support, and guidance
- Hire, train, and coach all local agents
- Lead generate for new clients daily
- Lead all aspects transactions from initial contact to contract to close
- Negotiate on behalf of clients
