In accordance with the mission of the Department of Athletics, administer the progress and success of the intercollegiate women’s softball program within the guidelines of the NCAA, the BIG EAST Conference and DePaul University. This includes all pre-season, in-season and post-season activities necessary to the development of a nationally-competitive team.
What You'll Need:
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- 5 - 10 years coaching experience, preferably at the NCAA Division I level.
- Valid driver's license.
- Occasionally required to drive student-athletes when traveling.
- Must be able to handle the physical demands of team practice and competition, with special consideration for the outdoor elements.
- Requires sitting and/or standing for extended periods of time.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office, current video applications, and current recruiting software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organization skills.
- Excellent time management skills - able to confidently manage competing priorities, multiple tasks, and communication with several internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience in working in a diverse urban and/or intercollegiate athletics environment.
- Dedication to serving the department, the University and the student-athletes with the highest level of leadership, initiative and integrity.
- Requires working evening, weekend, and University holiday hours, including attending/traveling to all softball practices and competitions.
Travel will be required for extended periods of time for competition and recruiting.
