About this Role:
The Enterprise Data and Information Management Program (EDIM), Program Data Reporting Division (PDRD) at the California DHCS is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Research Data Analyst II (RDA II) or Research Data Analyst I (RDA I) within the Community Programs Data Support Branch.
The RDA II will independently conduct varied and complex research and data analysis. The RDA II will perform ad-hoc report development; conduct statistical work in a variety of subject matters such as Mental Health (MH), Substance Abuse Problems (SAP), and Substance Use Disorders (SUD), Lanterman-Petris Short (LPS) Act; utilize structured and unstructured data from existing reports and resources such as MH, SAP, and SUD, LPS Act data; create and implement research projects, and data models.

Training and Development (T&D) assignments may be considered for this position for current California civil service employees. T&D assignments cannot exceed 24 months. However, successful T&D candidates may transition to a permanent appointment, if eligible at the end of the T&D assignment.

Working Conditions
Telework is based on operational needs for employees who can perform their essential functions remotely and/or whose duties are conducive to teleworking per DHCS’ Telework Policy and in accordance with Government Code Sections 14200 – 14203 for employees residing in California. Should the incumbent need to report to an office, they will need to report to DHCS office location: 1700 K Street, Sacramento, CA.
CalHR Telework Definitions:
- In Office – refers to all working days.
