TAM Enterprises, Inc. was founded in 1994 and has grown into one of the largest locally owned water and wastewater mechanical contracting companies in the Hudson Valley. We specialize in the new construction and rehabilitation of wastewater treatment and water supply systems for municipal, state, county and private owners and operators.
TAM Enterprises, Inc. is seeking a full-time individual to add to our team of control panel fabricators. These control panels and services are utilized in a variety of industries, but mainly in the water and wastewater industries.
The Control panels consist of push buttons, pilot lights & selector switches, along with PLC’s relays, motor starters, VFDs radio and cell communication. The Tasks Include drilling, assembly, saw cutting, and wiring of a variety of types of control panels, all which are built per supplied drawings & schematics.
Looking for an experienced individual, but also willing to train the right person that has an industrial electrical background/trade school, etc. This position offers long term career opportunities and advancement potential for the right individual.
JOB DUTIES:
- Assemble and wire electrical control panels using point to point wiring using schematics.
- Respond to services calls for area customers for installation of projects, troubleshooting, start up, and testing.
- Working with both low voltage (24Vdc, 20 Vdc) and High Voltage (3 phase max voltage will be 575 Vac)
- Layout panels using drawings as per design concept. Use of power tools to drill and tap, cut holes and mount panel mount controllers.
- Using a Multimeter and other test equipment, perform evaluations of electrical assemblies for continuity, current, functionality, and voltage.
- Periodically checks product per company policy to ensure quality and uniform completion.
- Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
- Completes tasks as directed by manufacturing schedules.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Detail-oriented and consistent.
- Works well independently and as a productive member of a team.
- Follows prescribed safety regulations
- Ability to follow instructions, both verbal and written.
- Ability to lift more than 50lbs and work at heights if needed
- Willingness to learn.
- 508ul Certified helpful / willing to become 508ul Certified Manufacturer Rep.
- Ability to use basic hand tools (drills, wire cutter, wire stripper, etc)

- Monday through Friday and some weekends.
- Must be available for a rotating on call schedule.

Pay: $110,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
