Job Summary
Nokomis is currently in need of a responsible individual to fill the position of Facilities Manager to oversee all building-related activities. The Facilities Manager will be responsible for preserving the good condition of infrastructure and ensure that facilities are safe and well-functioning. The facilities manager will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining and repairing Nokomis' facilities - demands include, but are not limited to: carpentry, electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems. The successful candidate will oversee Nokomis' facilities repairs and maintenance, manage staff, manage office moves and manage janitorial duties while remaining in compliance with local, state and federal regulations.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, climb stairs, kneel, crouch and stoop. The employee will also need good dexterity as they will use their hands to grip and carry materials and control tools. The employee must have the ability to frequently lift and carry a minimum of 40 lbs of office and facilities equipment. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities and Duties
- Plan and coordinate all installations and refurbishments (telecommunications, heat, electricity, etc...)
- Manage the upkeep of facilities, equipment and supplies to meet Nokomis standards and to ensure compliance with all safety and security protocols
- Inspect buildings' structures to determine the need for repairs or renovations
- Supervise all members of facilities staff (custodians, technicians, groundskeepers, etc...) and external contractors
- Control activities like snow removal, waste disposal, building structural security, etc...
- Ability to work individually and as part of a team; an intelligent and articulate individual who can relate to people at all levels of an organization and possess excellent communication skills
- Microsoft Office skills, i.e. Excel, Word plus Gmail, Google Docs and Google Calendar
Qualifications and Skills
- Proven experience with planning and security principles

- Able to read and understand electrical, mechanical and HVAC system diagrams and schematics
