Job Summary: The Facility Maintenance Technician assists the Chief Engineer with maintenance and care of Schermerhorn Symphony Center, including public areas, performance spaces, administrative offices, backstage, and support spaces.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
· Repair fixtures in public spaces, performances spaces, offices, backstage hallways, storage areas, and dressing rooms.
· Diagnose and repair all building electrical systems; 110v, 277v, and 480v.
· Diagnose and repair commercial kitchen equipment.
· Monitor, diagnose, and repair commercial HVAC systems.
· Monitor, diagnose, and repair exhaust fans belts, and motors.
· Repair locks and door closures
· Repair commercial plumbing systems.
· Patch, paint, and restore surfaces that are worn or damaged.
· Replace facility lamps and ballasts.
· Maintain seating in the concert hall to ensure 100% seating capacity.
· Install and/or remove banners and marketing materials, as directed.
· Perform daily and routine maintenance of building systems.
· Assist Venue Management and Operations teams with fulfilling production requirements.
· Must be available for scheduled performances on nights and weekends.

Supervisory Responsibilities
Directs contractors for specific repairs.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
