We have an opportunity for a Plant HR Manager with an established yet always evolving equipment designer and provider in Paramount. Main responsibilities include:
HR Strategies and Initiatives:
- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with our business goals.
- Drive initiatives to enhance employee relations, benefits administration, staffing, payroll, and OSHA compliance.
- Anticipate and address workplace hazards, ensuring safety.
- Implement and maintain company policies and systems.
- Strive for industry-wide excellence.
Compliance and Reporting:
- Ensure regulatory compliance.
- Handle timely and accurate reporting.
- Stay informed about industry standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Payroll & Benefits:
- Maintain employee files (attendance, vacation, sick leave, FMLA).
- Process updates (exemptions, salary changes, 401(k), insurance).
- Calculate and process bi-weekly payroll.
- Prepare special payroll events (merit increases, bonuses).
- Collaborate on 401(k) distribution report.
- Verify medical insurance deductions.
- Conduct salary surveys.
- Prepare staff memos.
Compliance and Employee Relations & Development:
- Monitor job postings, conduct interviews.
- Document coaching and discipline.
- Coach managers on interviewing.
- Review labor law changes with facility managers.
- Provide HR support.
- Develop performance evaluation program.
- Ensure EEO compliance.
- Provide data-driven insights.
- Maintain compliance training calendar.
- Oversee onboarding.
Safety and Workers Comp:
- Update safety materials.
- Manage Workman’s Comp program.
- Ensure workplace safety.
- Participate in relevant events.
- Review EPLI information.
- Develop meeting agendas.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field.
- SHRM certification
- Minimum 5 years of progressive HR experience.
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience.
- Manufacturing experience preferred.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Familiarity with California and Federal employment laws.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ADP
- Strong organizational abilities.
- Discreet handling of confidential information.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
