Job Title

Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide timely and appropriate psychiatry care of the inmate patient population in accordance with community and national standards of care.
- Provide overall supervision of psychiatry, and mental health clinical staff services.
- Works collaboratively on psychiatry matters with internal and external psychiatry and medical providers and vendors.
- Evaluate the mental health care needs of the inmate population, review, and approve policies, protocols, current programs, and emergency plans as necessary (at least annually).
- Acts as the mental health care program’s clinical representative with visitors, in discussions, meetings, and audit and accreditation reviews.
- Adhere to, safely enforce, and follow security procedures and regulations for security-related policies and procedures, key control, sharps inventories, and controlled substances.
- On-call duties required.
- Travel is not required.
Requirements
- Education: Medical Degree
- Must possess a current Massachusetts license.
- Current DEA registration must be in good standing.
- Must be board-certified/eligible or qualified by state laws and regulations to practice psychiatry.
- Experience in corrections is helpful but not required..
- Hold current CPR certification.
Schedule
- Full-time 40 hours a week
- Day shift, Monday-Friday, flexible hours
Salary Range
275, 000.00-325,000.00
