The Body Shop Estimator is responsible for identifying and documenting necessary body repair work. This position is also responsible for scheduling body work to be performed. The Estimator position requires good people skills to be able to communicate effectively with customers and company personnel.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Schedules appointments with customer.
· Works with customer and Body Shop Technicians to identify required repair work.
· Offers additional services and repairs to customers.
· Computes cost of replacement parts and labor to restore vehicle to condition specified by customer.
· Dispatches and maintains an organized workload.
· Enters itemized estimate on repair order and explains estimate to customer.
· Keeps customer informed and updated throughout the repair process.
· Maintains Customer Satisfaction score at or above designated standards.
· Meets dealership’s standards for repair/order production.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
· Experience as a Body Shop Estimator is required
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Heavy duty truck estimating experience is a plus
· Computer proficiency with Procede or other estimating systems
· Self-motivated and detail oriented
· Strong record of positive customer satisfaction
· Submit to and successfully complete MVR, background check
and drug screen
· Valid driver's license with good driving record
