The Crowne Plaza Union City is looking for a friendly and outgoing Host/Hostess to join our restaurant team as our guests' first point of contact. The Host/Hostess sets the tone of the restaurant and ensures that all guests have a positive experience as soon as they walk through the door. In this position, you will greet guests, guide guests to their tables, and ensure a smooth flow of the restaurant.

HOST/HOSTESS RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:
- Greet all guests with a warm and cheerful demeanor upon arrival and departure.
- Follow table rotation and balance customer flow in server sections.
- Accommodate special seating requests for guests according to their preferences and group size.
- Escort customers to assigned dining or bar areas.
- Provide menus and announce the Server’s name
- Create a welcoming environment by engaging with guests throughout their dining experience.
- Maintain a clean and organized host stand and reception area.
- Inspect tables for proper presentation and completeness.
- Relay guest complaints to the Manager on duty and assist with the resolution.
- Be available to fill in as needed to ensure a smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the Food and Beverage Supervisor
- Demonstrate the ability to remain calm and composed under pressure or when confronted with impatient or irate guests.
Requirements/Responsibilities
At least one year of experience at a fast-paced dining establishment is preferred. A warm and outgoing personality with a passion for food and customer service
- Must commit to delivering a unique and memorable guest experience.
- Excellent people skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- The ability to multi-task and work well in a high-volume environment.
- Fluent in English and proficiency in other languages is a plus.
· Previous experience in a hotel, restaurant, or food industry setting is preferred.
