Position Title: Bookkeeper II

Reports To: CFO / Fiscal Supervisor / Associate Director
POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a highly organized and focused Bookkeeper II with experience in healthcare accounting to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will excel in both independent and team settings, adapting quickly to the evolving demands of a fast-paced environment. A proactive approach and the ability to manage changes in procedures effectively are crucial for maintaining compliance and accuracy in fiscal responsibilities.
Responsibilities of this role include preparing monthly billings, overseeing financial compliance, maintaining records across various financial functions (billing, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, etc.), and handling monthly financial reporting and general ledger entries. Additional tasks may involve bank reconciliations, payroll processing, and coordination with external auditors.
SALARY RANGE
$27.50 - $43.50 / per hour DOE

In addition to the items listed in the summary above, Bookkeeper II job responsibilities/duties may
include but are not limited to the following:
- Develop and maintain budgets and cost reports as needed.
- Ensure accurate and timely bank deposits.
- Generate and maintain monthly Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) and rent reports to support billing
processes.
- Handle payroll processing and monthly bank reconciliations.
- Maintain detailed journals and records to support monthly billing (e.g., invoices, time sheets,
status changes).
- Manage and reconcile equipment inventory; assign and distribute company-issued equipment.
- Process daily credit card transactions and reconcile credit charges.
- Utilize Avatar or other mandated Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems for billing purposes.
- Perform additional tasks as required by the CFO, CEO, or direct supervisor.
Key Qualifications:
Strong organizational skills and the ability to concentrate on detailed tasks.
Comfort with rapid changes and a capacity to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently.
Demonstrated experience with QuickBooks and Excel.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Ability to meet deadlines.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma required; college degree preferred.
At least 3 years of prior bookkeeping experience.
Proficiency in Excel and QuickBooks.
Experience in a drug/health-related financial setting is advantageous.
