This role requires devising new approaches to problems encountered utilizing established problem-solving tools and techniques.
Key Accountabilities
- Plans, schedules, conducts, or coordinates detailed phases of the engineering work in part of a major project or in a total project of moderate scope.
- Plans and designs manufacturing processes in industrial plant. Maximizes efficiency by analyzing layout of equipment, workflow, assembly methods, and work force utilization.
- Determines parts and tools needed in order to achieve manufacturing goals according to product specification.
- Performs work that involves conventional engineering practice. Controls a variety of complex features such as conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of standard materials, and difficult coordination requirements.
- Retains a broad knowledge of precedents in the specialty area and a firm understanding of principles and practices of related specialties. May supervise technicians on assigned work when needed.
- Provides a smooth interchange of ideas and information between supervisor, engineers, co-workers, and customers.
Education And Experience
- A BS in Engineering
- Candidate must have a very good understanding of engineering and scientific theory principles, concepts, techniques and processes and should be able to apply past experience to determine appropriate technique and procedure in efficient manner with little direction or guidance.
- Candidates with relevant work experience preferred.
