Nutrition Aide/Janitor (Union) - GLCAP Perrysburg Center - Average 34 hours, 7:00 am - 4:00 pm, 42 weeks
Summary: Responsible for transporting and serving meals and snacks and maintaining a sanitary environment for food and storage according to the instructions in the cook’s manual; also, responsible for the daily cleaning of the kitchen, bathroom and classroom(s).

Education:
Required High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED) and ability to operate kitchen equipment.
Experience:
One to three years experience in food preparation and custodial work.
As a condition of employment the following are additional requirements:

Initial and periodic Motor Vehicle Records checks, maintain a valid driver’s license, and maintain a safe driving record.

Must have insured, dependable transportation available for daily use.

Initial and periodic physical exams required.

Must submit to initial and/or periodic state and/or federal criminal checks.

Must submit to initial and periodic drug and alcohol testing.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Ensure all Ohio Department of Health regulations are observed, including food preparation and storage.

Maintain food service areas and equipment to ensure compliance with Ohio Department of Health regulations.

Conduct monthly non-food inventories, order non-food supplies through the Nutrition Specialist.

Wash, dry and store daily dishes.

Restock groceries and supplies.
-
Pick up catered lunches; monitor food temperature; smell and taste food before serving.

Maintain and submit accurate records as requested.

Order and prepare meals and snacks based on attendance patterns.

Provide clean working and learning environment; notify supervisor of any repairs or replacements needed.

Arrange tables and classroom equipment; clean and sanitize toys.

Other duties and responsibilities as directed by supervisor.
