The Ambulatory Clinical Educator will assess, plan/develop, implement and evaluate learning/resource needs related to orientation and continuing education needs. Coordinates, develops and presents educational programs designed to maintain, enhance and assess job performance and competencies for ambulatory clinical staff. Conducts observations in the form of “work with” to maintain knowledge of positions and assess needs. Provides feedback regarding to staff performance.
Education: Associates Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred.
Experience: Minimum of one year of nursing experience, preferably in an ambulatory setting. Prior experience in educator role preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of staff development and program development. Effective interpersonal communication skills in order to effectively collaborate with others.
License/Certification: Current licensure as a registered nurse from the West Virginia State Board of Nursing. Current BLS certification, ACLS certification a plus.
Physical requirements & environmental conditions: Heavy Work- Frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 50 lbs with a maximum lifting of 100 lbs.
