The Maintenance Tech manages responsibilities in all areas of building maintenance including minor plumbing such as; performs leak repairs and general faucet and toilet repair/replacement tasks. Equipment installation and general maintenance functions such as; move in coolers and HEPA filters. The Maintenance tech also performs minor electrical work such as general service (installation and replacement of fixtures, wall mounted thermostats and light switches, wall-mounted devices such as hand dryers). Drywall repair - patch and paint. Installation of door and window coverings. Performs furniture and equipment moves either within the building or to offsite locations. The Maintenance Tech is responsible for all general building maintenance including spills and other clean up duties as needed.
Driving between facilities in considered company time. The first 30 minutes of driving to the job site are considered commute related and any commute driving back home are considered commute related. Any driving to and from work past 30 minutes is considered part of the work day and paid out accordingly.
Knowledge of OSHA safety standards helpful.

General Maintenance
a. Ensure clinical facilities are clean, safe and sanitary.
b. Maintain some inventory of maintenance supplies.
Develop cost saving concepts for all maintenance supplies.
Planning
a. Schedule work on a daily basis from work order assignments.
b. Planning and sourcing maintenance supplier selections.

a. Performs other duties as assigned and participates in organization projects as assigned.
b. Adheres to safety, P4P’s (if applicable), HIPAA and compliance policies.

WORKING CONDITIONS: Requires frequent standing, stooping, bending and climbing ladders of up to 50 ft. May require lifting up to 100 lb. Class C California driver’s license required.
ENTRY LEVEL FORMAL EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, VOCATIONAL TRAINING AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES.
REQUIRED:
1. High school diploma or GED.
2. One (1) to two (2) years of experience in building maintenance, health care or related field.
