The U.S. headquarters of a global manufacturer seeks a V.P. of global H.R. to oversee the company and its group of companies in the USA.
The VP will report directly to the company's CEO and will provide executive-level leadership in managing and executing the overall H.R. operations, including planning, system design, labor relations, recruitment, and training for the company and its group companies.
The V.P. plays a crucial role in our organization, working closely with H.R. managers of other Group Companies. This collaborative approach is key to optimizing each company's H.R. operations and fostering a culture of cooperation and shared success.
As the H.R. representative of the U.S. headquarters, the V.P. will report to and cooperate with a parent company overseas and will be responsible for localizing, implementing, and promoting the company's global H.R. systems and carrying out long-term strategic talent management, thereby contributing to building a robust organization.
The ideal candidate should possess more than 10 years of senior management experience in HR functions and a deep understanding of multi-state labor laws. They should be highly knowledgeable in organizational development, HR strategy, HR policy development, retention, succession planning, and the integration and harmonization of corporate culture. Proficiency in the Japanese language or familiarity with Japanese business culture would be advantageous.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of 10 years proven experience as Human Resources VP, Manager or similar.
- Excellent knowledge of US employment law and HR regulations.
- In-depth knowledge of corporate governance and general management best practices.
- An entrepreneurial mindset with outstanding organizational and leadership skills.
- Analytical abilities and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and public speaking skills.
- MSc/MA in Human Resources, Business Administration, Law, Psychology, or related field. MBA is preferred.
- Experience with and understanding of Global Entities and/or Japanese Companies, as it relates to working in an international and intercultural environment.
