JOB SUMMARY
The Procurement Manager plays a key role in managing the procurement process from sourcing to delivery, ensuring timely acquisition of IT hardware and software at competitive prices.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Manage the procurement process from requisition to delivery, ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
· Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure the best terms and pricing for IT hardware, software, and internal supply requests.
· Maintain relationships with vendors and manage supplier performance to ensure timely delivery, quality, and cost-effectiveness of products and services.
· Collaborate with internal teams including sales, client relations, and projects to understand procurement needs and requirements.
· Maintain inventory levels of IT equipment, software licenses, and other assets to ensure adequate stock levels while minimizing excess inventory and associated costs.
· Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement cost reduction initiatives while maintaining quality standards.
· Maintain purchasing metrics to track performance, identify areas for improvement, and drive continuous optimization of procurement processes. See performance metrics below.
· Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and technological advancements to make informed purchasing decisions.
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
· Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers, ensuring timely delivery, quality products/services, and favorable terms
· Ability to effectively manage your time and meet deadlines.
· Proficiency in negotiating contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favorable pricing, terms, and service level agreements while mitigating risks.
· Excellent analytical skills to interpret data, identify trends, and make informed procurement decisions, leveraging tools and metrics to optimize procurement performance and drive cost savings.
· Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to understand procurement needs and requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with internal stakeholders and external suppliers, conveying procurement requirements, negotiating terms, and resolving issues diplomatically.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify issues, analyze root causes, and develop effective solutions to improve procurement processes and outcomes.
· Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality in procurement processes, documentation, and contract management.
