Position Summary: Hiring for 2024 Spring - Fall Season with possibility for year round. This is a unique position that would work side-by-side with our other maintenance/cabin cleaner who is already trained and will be training the new hiree.
We try to break our days into two parts:
- The first half of the day is dedicated to cabin cleaning and guest readiness. In this case we are looking for someone who has lodging/cleaning experience. The position will also require bed making and stripping units/cleaning after checkouts.
- The second half of the day we try to dedicate to property cleanup/maintenance. In this case we are looking for someone who has grounds maintenance and general laborer experience. This position will require the employee to assist with the maintenance and upkeep of all grounds including plants, trees, lawn areas, possible new landscaping assistance, drives, walkways, porches, trash and recycle. Will possibly involve operating and/or assisting with the maintenance lawn equipment. Must be able to lift at least 30 lbs and walk/stand for periods of time.
Expected to provide guest satisfaction. At times you will work with another employee, slower days can be solo. You will have a lot of autonomy in this position thus we need an individual who is motivated and a self-starter.
Essential Functions:
- Perform the cutting, trimming, and application of plant/pest treatments.
- Perform flower bed preparation, planting, weeding, irrigation of all flower beds and planting areas
- Perform the cleaning up of yard/property debris, spreading of sand and/or ice melt and repair of all walkways, trails, drives and parking areas. Helping to create new walking trails on the property.
- Perform tree maintenance including trimming, removal and irrigation
- Perform maintenance, repairs and winterization of irrigation systems
- Perform maintenance of landscaping equipment and tools
- Keep supervisor informed of equipment and supply needs. Work closely and cooperatively with owner/supervisor on projects.
- Acquire working knowledge of the Lodge and facilities to respond appropriately to guest questions, as required.
- Be accepting of working within guest cabins.
- Cabin cleaning is an essential function of this position.
- Bedmaking is an essential function of this position.
- Keep supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters so prompt corrective action can be taken when appropriate
- Perform other duties as required.
- May possibly assist with food service. This may include: completion of any setup within the kitchen/smoke house, assisting with food orders, assisting with food or supplies, assisting with inventory, kitchen/smokehouse/grill cleanup.
- Any other food service duties as assigned.
- Candidate must demonstrate experience in these described area and provide credible references.

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
