We are looking for an customer service oriented, friendly personality for our busy oral surgery practice. You should be able to ensure our front desk provides professional and courteous service to our patients. Your main duties are to post charges and payments, calculate estimated copayments, ensure timely insurance billing, and notifying patients of outstanding balances.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Schedule and confirm appointments with patients
- Ensure doctor schedule is full
- Maintain communication with patients
- Download specialist reports/x-rays; send x-rays
- Answer incoming calls using polished, professional telephone skills
- Handle patient reception checking in and out
- Manage/File Patient Charts/Records
- Process beginning and end of day job duties
- Call patients on recall
- Ensure that schedule is accurate; allowing ample time for each procedure
- Collect and post patient payments
- Educate, discuss and present recommended treatment plan to the patient
- Verify and then discuss eligibility & benefits and pre-estimates; present fees to patients - treatment presentations for future or return patients
- Enter accurate patient benefit information into DSN system
- Manage daily schedule to ensure production goals are consistently being met
- Document financial arrangements/commitments to pay
- Collect payments and post to appropriate account
- Offer Care Credit
- Post/Enter pre-treatment estimates into system
- Call patients to schedule treatment as applicable to their treatment plan
- Track and call patients who do not schedule or whose treatment is incomplete
- Follow-up: Call and/or send Thank You letters or Implant letters to referring doctors
- Posting charges daily, claims processing, insurance follow up, billing, and collections
- Provide support to front office with any other duties required when primary responsibilities are complete

Pay: $21.00 - $30.00 per hour
