Performs the daily operation of the supply and inventory control. Assists in expediting the procurement and distribution of supplies using appropriate pathways for patient needs and cost consciousness.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:
1. High School Diploma or equivalent.

1. Ensures the accountability for the usage of all patient supplies by appropriate ordering of amount of needs so not to overstock the patient home with unnecessary supplies.
2. For those responsibly for supply storage areas:
- Maintains an effective and efficient layout of materials storage areas and ensures the proper usage of a material management and identification system.
- Provides assistance to staff with the storeroom function and layout.
- Maintains the stock level of all high usage parts and supplies, and generates requisitions to maintain proper stock levels and availability of supplies.
3. Responds to requests by supervision for new items
4. Obtains and inputs information for ordering supplies.
5. Compiles and enters ordering information for patient needs so that the patient receives by day 5 of care.
6. Performs data entry of requisitions and other purchasing information.
7. Works efficiently to enter orders so the work queue is completed at days end
8. Drops charges as directed on all supplies specific to patient needs
9. Communicates through written report daily what supplies are not covered through the use of the approved report format
