At Middlesex Youth Treatment Residence, we provide a supportive living environment for youths and families facing significant mental and behavioral health challenges. Our innovative academic strategies and dedicated mental health professionals ensure that students receive individualized learning support and have access to the general education curriculum as outlined by the Vermont Department of Education.

As the Assistant Program Manager (APM), you will work closely with the Program Manager to meet the needs of both staff and clients. Your dedication to fostering a safe and supportive environment will be essential in helping our residents succeed. Key responsibilities include:
· Participating actively in our residential treatment model for youth.
· Supervising and mentoring youth according to individual treatment plans and company policies.
· Facilitating the structured routine of the residential program.
· Coordinating and engaging in recreational and educational activities.
· Ensuring that residents’ personal needs are met.
· Properly orienting new residents upon arrival.
· Maintaining professional dialogue with clinical staff and reporting critical incidents.
· Documenting all services provided in a clear and professional manner.
· Providing training and support to new and existing staff.
· Managing schedules and ensuring timely communication within the team.
· Implementing behavioral management and crisis intervention techniques.
· Teaching social skills and promoting positive behavior.
· Upholding professional boundaries and conduct with all residents and stakeholders.
· Ensuring the cleanliness and safety of the residential facility.
· Supervising Youth Counselors and providing guidance as needed.
Qualifications/Requirements:
· Valid Driver's License.
· Meet safe driver guidelines as established by the employer’s insurance carrier.
· Pass a criminal background check.
· Be 21 years or older.
· Associate or bachelor’s degree or 60 college credits, or:
· High school diploma or GED and one of the following:
· 2 years of full-time experience working with children.
· Any combination of human services credits and experience with children totaling 2 years.
· 7 years of parenting experience.
· Requirements that meet VT Childcare Licensing Regulation He-C 4001.19.
